OF PETROL FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD
CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.
AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OVER 4.6
BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.
THEREFORE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER22ndHAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT” DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF PETROL ON
THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO
AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

Have you ever seen ever seen the Shell oil refinery in Geelong? (or any other like it)
They have HUGE storage tanks…
Volume is equal to ((pi * R squared) * height)
The tank’s radius is about 25 metes, their height is around 20 metres.
= pi *625 * 20
= 40 thousand cubic metres of petrol per SINGLE tank
= 1 cubic metre = 1000 litres
so there are 40,000,000 litres per tank
divide by 100 litres (the fuel tank capacity of a large car)
= enough petrol for over 400 thousand cars! (in one tank)
at Geelong alone Shell have SIX TANKS… Each oil refinery is like this, Mobil Altona, BP Laverton, there are ever more friggin’ tanks there as well.
LET ME SEE, you not buying petrol, it won’t hurt a bit. (literally a drop in the ocean)

Hmmm, petrol is almost 1.5 dollars per litre…
= 4,600,000,000 dollars / 1.5 dollars
So a loss of 4.6 billion dollars would be3 billion litres of petrol not sold by oil companies.
Hence, if each car takes 100 litres of petrol…
= 3,000,000,000 litres / 100 litres
Therefore, 30 million cars worth of petrol would not sold!
However, just a tiny problem…
AUSTRALIA HAS ONLY 20 MILLION PEOPLE!
That is enough petrol for every man, woman and child, everyone in Australia, to have 1.5 CARS EACH full of petrol!
ALSO, lets just forget the fact that almost 50% of the petrol cost is government taxes, NOT PROFIT FOR OIL COMPANIES!
That means even more petrol needs to be not sold, for losses to equal this much…

Someone has just replaced every instance of "America" with "Australia" and every instance of "gas" with "petrol"

If you don’t buy on "No Petrol Day" you will need to buy petrol in the days before or after it. See the oil companies caring… They are still getting your money!
The only to hurt them is by reducing your petrol consumption. Get off your arse, and ride a bike, walk, or use public transport INSTEAD of driving. It’s good for the environment, and makes you healthier as well!
LOL, I disagree. If rather than using cars on that day, a lot more people use public transport, then extra fuel will not have to be bought before "the day". It may also show the federal government that were not happy, Jan! On the other hand, I think a much better idea is simply "Nobody do anything at all day (aka stay at home day)". In other words, nobody (and I mean NOBODY) in all of Australia leaves the house for the day. This would stop every industry and all commerce dead in its tracks. Economy would cease completely for a whole day. The implications of such an event would reduce economy rates dramatically, and so the Reserve Bank would shit itself. In turn, the Federal government would give every CRC graduate from 2004 a ferrari that runs on something other than petrol, and lots of free McDonalds hamburgers!!!
