Radar guns and railways

I was on the train the other day and saw this… (yep, more weirdness)

The track in the foreground is a road – tram – train crossing. That’s why you can see so much track in the middle of all of the concrete. Because of this, the trains have to go slower – mainly so the track doesn’t have the crap beaten out of it.

I also discovered that car drivers are not the only ones who slow down for police. The train driver did as well. He probably wanted to keep his job.
