Spot the difference in Footscray

A game of spot the difference – this time outside Footscray.

EDI Comeng 378M trails a down Werribee service at Footscray

Can you spot it?

EDI Comeng 550M on an up Werribee service departs Footscray

The biggest change is the number of tracks – the first photo from 2012 shows the four track alignment in place since 1976, the second photo from 2014 shows the six track corridor following the completion of Regional Rail Link, which provided an extra pair of tracks for V/Line trains between Southern Cross and Sunshine.

The other is the State Trustees building in the background – the 14-storey building located at 1 McNab Avenue includes 18,000 square metres of office space, and was completed in 2014.
